An eCommerce performance analytics platform for OMNI ePartners.

Role

Software Engineer Intern | UI Designer

Duration

June 2018 – August 2019

Context

In the summer of 2018, I had the opportunity to work with OMNI ePartners as a Software Engineer Intern. I worked with the Full Stack Developer to design and develop an eCommerce platform that displayed performance analytics for each of the company’s associated brands. These performance analytics included the following:

  • Amazon sales & share analytics
  • Digital shelf analytics for any retailer
  • Expert analysis & recommendations

During the time I was there, I was able to see the platform through design, development, and deployment. Since the platform is a private tool offered by the company, I cannot release any more information about my work and designs.

Timeline & Key Deliverables

  • Collaborated closely and consistently with Full Stack Engineer and Engineering Manager to establish platform goals
  • Crafted data visualizations using D3 and ngx-charts to intuitively display the performance and history of different brands
  • Designed efficient, flexible, and reusable front-end systems using Material Design guidelines
  • Created wireframes and prototypes using Balsamiq, HTML, and CSS to create a responsive UI based on feedback
  • Utilized existing UI components to improve designs
  • Developed front-end using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular
  • Implemented Amazon Pinpoint Analytics to provide user analytics for the platform
  • Consolidated my designs and documentation to ensure a smooth transition for future Software Engineer Interns
